I think that it is awesome that people are finding ways to spot glaucoma earlier. My health teacher once told our class that having glaucoma was like putting a hand in front of your eyes and trying to look around the hand. It is unfortunate that people cannot realize the gradual eyesight loss until too late, because they can't feel the elevated feeling. But, (hopefully) thanks to mathematical modeling, we can measure blood flow, etc., and realize sooner!

Wow !! the illusions article is amazing ! It just goes to show how perception really is everything. Our viewpoint of life controls how we respond to its problems. Maybe that's partially why math may come easier to some people and not to others? People who may have general skill , yet are confident in their abilities, will subconsciously look at a math problem, generally, as possible to solve. As they have already told their brains that they are somewhat capable to solve the problem , their brains will act on this, and try to solve it. On the other hand, people who have little skill in math may subconsciously look at the problem as impossible, and now that they have told their brains to give up, their brains will not work as hard to solve to problem. Everything is perception. Perception controls life; life does not control perception.

I was quite astonished by the second article referring to the Electoral College. I did not know most votes are based upon "cheating" by using specific numbers. Now, I'm paranoid when it comes to who is elected to be our leader. However, I find it interesting that using math is used to completely cast someone out of an election because they didn't recieve the "popular vote". This is my favorite article so far :)
